Description

The two CNRS Research Groups (GDR), NAME (Nanomaterials for Energy Applications) and HOWDI (Heterostructures of van der Waals materials with low dimensionality) are jointly organising a two-day workshop, to be held in Lyon on 6 and 7 May 2024

The aim of this workshop is to offer a "tutto tondo" scenario on the thermal transport properties of 2D materials from both an experimental and theoretical point of view.  The focus will be on transport properties of 2D materials and heterostructures (lateral and vertical) with detailed description of state of the art techniques and future perspectives.

Each section will consist of keynote lectures followed by an expansive discussion time aimed at stimulating brainstorming and cultivating future collaborations at the interface between the two communities.

Themes

  • 2D materials for thermal energy conversion
  • Phoninics and straintronics  of 2D materials
  • Thermal properties of 2D materials
